2 bedrooms | 3 baths | 8,000 square feet
Built in 2022
Apparently, people spending insane amounts of money on building neo-gothic castles in the 2022s is a thing. Case in point, Castle Von Frandsen, which was built earlier this year. I’m also not sure how 8,000 square feet translates into only 2 bedrooms and 3 baths. More space for a medieval dungeon perhaps?
Here’s the realtor’s description.
“Time travel to Castle Von Frandsen, a nearly famous and truly Iconic waterfront estate on 10 acres of Frandsen Forest. Minutes from the artful, trendy, and inviting town of Sandpoint Idaho. This one-of-a-kind castle was handbuilt from granite quarried in British Columbia and hand-chiseled to fit on site. The massive timber beams were harvested and honed from the forest. A whimsical enchanting home with 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. An 8000 sq ft. dream property brought to life. As you approach by car or from your private 2-tiered dock, a stone tunnel envelops you from the water, opening to an interior plunge pool. 3 floors of medieval masterpiece with sweeping views of Lake Pend Oreille, a 43-mile-long, deep water, crystal clear lake, the 5th deepest in the nation. This Fairytale Castle treasure strikes a prominent pose nestled between the Cabinet and Bitterroot Mountains, and commands sweeping views of Schweitzer Ski Mountain, The Roman Nose and the Seven Sisters. Finish to your vision.”
